Bury Farm Cottages - self catering accommodation in the Essex countryside.

*Bury Farm itself dates back to the 18th Century and has been run by the Clarke family since the 1920s.

Jonathan is the third generation to be farming the land.

Jonathan is keen to encourage bio-diversity on the farm – new hedgerows have been planted, beetle banks and grass margins have been introduced through the Countryside Stewardship scheme to encourage an increased variety of wildlife on the farm.

An encouraging sign and a wonderful sight to behold are the little owls, which can be seen both day and night around the meadowland.

Skylarks are also returning and can often be heard in the fields.

We also have a number of badger sets within the surrounding area of the farm.

Footpaths criss-cross the farm giving you the opportunity to stretch the legs on a sunny summer’s morning or for the more adventurous.

Information on longer walks can be found in each cottage for you to browse through at your own convenience.
